OnePlus Watch 3: Sleek Design, Long Battery Life, and Health Boost
USATuesday, February 18, 2025
The health tracking features have seen significant upgrades. The Watch 3 includes a new sensor array with a wrist temperature sensor, an 8-channel optical heart rate sensor, and a 16-channel pulse oximeter sensor. The heart rate sensor can now run continuously for real-time stats, with new support for tracking vascular health and taking ECG measurements. Another new feature is the “60-Second Health Check-In, ” which provides quick insights into your heart rate, blood oxygen levels, mental wellness, wrist temperature, sleep quality, and vascular age. This feature will be available in Q2 2025, without ECG for those in the US.
OnePlus has also improved sleep monitoring, added over 100 different sports modes, and updated the OHealth app with new ways to show metrics including Sleep Trends Analysis and Heart Rate Trends. The Watch 3 is available for pre-order starting today for $329 in the US. Orders will start shipping on February 25.
The OnePlus Watch 3 is a solid upgrade from its predecessor, offering a sleeker design, longer battery life, and enhanced health tracking features. It's a great choice for those looking for a smartwatch with a focus on health and fitness. However, it's important to note that the health features, while impressive, may not be as accurate as those found in dedicated medical devices. Always consult with a healthcare professional for any health-related concerns.
