Oura's App Gets a Fresh Look
Oura Ring users have something to look forward to. The company is giving its app a major makeover, adding new features and improving the overall experience. This update comes hot on the heels of the new Ceramic Ring launch, which, let's be honest, wasn't a huge leap in terms of specs.
What's New?
The app is getting a visual facelift, making it even easier to navigate and understand your health data. It's not just about looks, though. The app is being reorganized into three main sections:
- Today
- Vitals
- My Health
Each tab serves a different purpose, helping users focus on what matters most.
Today Tab
The Today tab is all about daily insights. It highlights one key piece of information each day, making it easier to stay on top of your health goals.
Vitals Section
The Vitals section is where you'll find all your biometric data, from stress levels to sleep quality. The app will even change colors based on your biometrics, giving you a quick visual cue of how you're doing.
My Health Tab
The My Health tab is for the long haul. It's where you can access Oura Advisor, the company's AI model, for personalized insights and advice.
Significant Upgrades
Speaking of improvements, the app's Cycle Insights are getting a significant upgrade. Users will now be able to get cycle phase and prediction data from a single night of sleep, instead of waiting a whole month.
Cumulative Stress Feature
But perhaps the most interesting addition is Cumulative Stress. This feature gives users a look at their long-term stress levels, comparing current data with the previous month. It's a more comprehensive way to understand how your body handles stress over time.
Rollout and Stability
The update is rolling out globally over the next few weeks on both Android and iOS. Oura's Android team has recently expanded, so expect better stability and function across devices.
It's a big step forward for the Oura app, making it an even more powerful tool for tracking and improving your health.
