Overnight Mishap: One Caught After Lincoln Park Business Break-in

Early Friday morning, around 3:30 a. m. , a botched burglary attempt took place in Chicago's Lincoln Park. Three people tried to enter a business on North Halsted Street by removing its front door. However, before they could get inside, police officers who were responding to the scene arrived promptly. As the officers approached, things got more chaotic. A gray Infiniti sedan rammed into the police car and sped away, while two of the burglars escaped in another vehicle, possibly a Jeep, heading in opposite directions.

The vehicle heading south on Halsted was stopped, and one of the suspects was caught and taken into custody. While "charges were pending, " detectives were actively investigating the incident to piece together all the details of the overnight mishap.
