Paddy Pimblett Predicts Conor McGregor’s Knockout at UFC 329

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA,Sunday, June 21, 2026

Paddy Pimblett, a rising lightweight fighter, is betting on an explosive finish from Conor McGregor in the upcoming July 11 bout against Max Holloway. He told a sports channel that he thinks McGregor will land a knockout, even though many people believe the Irish legend has slipped from his prime.

“Because the fight is at welterweight, McGregor’s power should be enough to end it early,” Pimblett explained. He points out that Holloway is known for his toughness and has been active in recent fights, so he might last longer in the later rounds. However, Pimblett argues that moving up two weight classes is a disadvantage for McGregor and could hurt his performance.

He also notes Holloway’s frame looks smaller when facing lighter opponents, like Charles Oliveira, and suggests the size difference could be too much for McGregor at 170 pounds. Despite McGregor’s last fight ending in a loss to Dustin Poirier back in July 2021, Pimblett remains confident.

Oddsmakers have set Holloway as the favorite because he has never been stopped and spends more time in the cage.
Co‑main event: Pimblett will face Benoit Saint Denis on the same card.
Weigh‑ins: Scheduled for July 10.
