Peloton’s New Gym Gear: A Fresh Take on Fitness

Columbus, Ohio, USAMonday, March 16, 2026
Peloton has stepped out of the home‑studio corner and into busy gym floors with its latest line of bikes and treadmills. The company says the new gear is built to stand up to heavy use, thanks to a partnership with Precor that began when Peloton bought the brand in 2021. The move follows years of trial‑and‑error: earlier Peloton machines were popular in hotels and corporate wellness rooms, but they often broke down when pushed hard. Now the company claims its new hardware is tougher and ready for a commercial setting. Peloton’s CEO, Peter Stern, told CNBC that gym owners have been asking for the brand’s equipment. “Members want Peloton, ” he said, adding that the company will price the new machines competitively once launch details are finalized for late 2026.
The commercial unit was launched in 2025 and already ships to more than 60 countries through Precor’s network. Peloton hopes the expansion will grow its presence beyond a few hotel chains like Hyatt and Hilton into larger gym operators. However, some fitness chains prefer to keep their own classes and instructors in the spotlight. “We’ll see how gyms react, ” Stern said, noting that the new machines simply give members a better experience on existing bike and treadmill stations. Peloton’s recent earnings report showed a 3% drop in overall sales, but its commercial segment grew by 10%. The company’s new AI‑powered product line, Peloton IQ, has yet to convince consumers that the higher price is worth it. With its new commercial gear, Peloton aims to turn a shaky consumer market into a steady source of revenue from high‑traffic fitness centers worldwide.
