Pentagon Talks UFOs: No Proof of Alien Visits

The Pentagon recently addressed the big question on everyone's mind: have UFOs or aliens ever visited Earth? The answer, according to Pentagon press secretary Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder, is a simple no. Ryder fielded questions from reporters about various topics, including the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and North Korean soldiers fighting in Ukraine. Jeff Schogol from Task & Purpose, a military news outlet, took the opportunity to ask about aliens. Ryder's response was clear: there's no evidence that extraterrestrial life has visited our planet. The Pentagon’s stance hasn't changed since the establishment of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) in the summer of 2022. AARO’s mission is to detect and identify objects of interest around military facilities that could pose a threat to operations or national security. This includes unidentified airborne objects, often referred to as UFOs.

In November, the Department of Defense set up a website for reporting government activity related to unidentified anomalous phenomena. Despite multiple investigations, the DoD has found no evidence that any UFOs are of extraterrestrial origin. They emphasize that sensitive national security programs have been mistaken for UFO programs. The report released in March also highlighted public mistrust of the government and secrecy around military programs. It's a far cry from the days when talking about UFOs could ruin careers, as seen with figures like Bob Lazar. Today, UFOs are even featured in Super Bowl commercials, showing how mainstream the topic has become. Ryder reassured that no information was illegally withheld from Congress. He explained that claims of hidden programs are often a result of misinterpretations and circular reporting. The Pentagon continues to investigate, but for now, there's no solid evidence of alien visits.
