Political Honesty: A Trust Crisis
USAMonday, June 16, 2025
This distrust shows that Americans are unhappy with both parties. When asked which party fights for them, the largest group (37%) said neither. Only 24% said the Democratic Party, 22% said the GOP, and 18% said both parties fight for them. This is a clear sign of dissatisfaction.
The image of both parties is also not good. Most adults view them unfavorably. 57% view the Democratic Party negatively, while 43% view it positively. For the GOP, 56% view it negatively, and 44% view it positively. This shows that both parties have a lot of work to do to regain the trust of the people.
The survey was done online with 19, 410 adults from May 30 to June 10. The margin of error is plus or minus 2. 1 percentage points. This means the results are pretty accurate. It is clear that Americans are not happy with the honesty of their politicians. This is a big issue that needs to be addressed.
