When storms roll through Baton Rouge, many people worry about losing electricity. Two big companies supply power to the area: Entergy and DEMCO. Both have online tools that let residents see where outages are happening in real time.

Entergy

1. Go to the website

   • Green lines = powered neighborhoods.
   • Red lines = outages.
2. Search your address in the top box – the map zooms to that spot.

3. Explore by clicking, dragging, or using the mouse wheel.

4. View details – click the links on the left to see how many people are without power in each parish or ZIP code.

DEMCO

1. Open the map

   • Green zones = power on, red = power out.
2. Enter your address in the top‑left search box – the map updates automatically.

3. Navigate with drag, zoom, or plus/minus buttons.

4. Check affected customers – the right‑hand list shows numbers per parish; click the header to switch to ZIP‑code view.
