Prank Call Drama: A Look into the NFL Draft's Unseen Side
Atlanta, Georgia, USA,Monday, April 28, 2025
Jax Ulbrich's Instagram post was filled with regret. He said what he did was "completely inexcusable, embarrassing, and shameful. " He apologized for ruining Sanders' special moment. Sanders, however, took it in stride. He said the prank call didn't bother him much. He even mentioned that everyone does childish things sometimes.
This isn't the first time prank calls happened during the draft. Tyler Warren, a new Colts tight end, and Chase Lundt, a Bills offensive tackle, also received prank calls. It's unclear if Jax was behind those calls too. The Falcons team said Jeff Ulbrich didn't know about the prank until after it happened. They also said they will review their protocols to prevent such incidents in the future.
The Falcons team apologized to Sanders and his family. They also facilitated a direct apology from Jax to the Sanders family. The NFL draft is supposed to be a time of celebration. But this year, it had an unexpected side of drama and prank calls.
