"The power of Christ compels you!"
They demanded an end to ICE raids and deportations. Noem, however, stayed calm and smiled through the interruption.
The protesters were quickly removed by Capitol police. They were holding signs that read:

During the hearing, Mississippi Representative Bennie Thompson, the top Democrat on the committee, directly addressed Noem:
"Rather than wasting our time with more corruption, lies, and lawlessness, I call on you to resign."
Noem defended her actions, stating that the Trump administration works every day to make America safe again. She also mentioned that she was honored to have her family with her at the hearing.

The hearing comes at a time when there is growing tension between federal agents and the public over immigration tactics. These tactics include:
