Imagine this: you're all set for a weekend of online gaming. Then, without warning, PSN goes dark for a full day. Not cool, right?  It's not the first time this has happened, but Sony's explanation was a bit too vague.  They said there was an "operational issue" with network services.  In plain terms, something broke, and they had to fix it.

        PSN was down for a full 24 hours. That's a long time to be disconnected from your favorite games. Sony did offer a small apology and a tiny compensation.  PSN Plus members got a measly 5 extra days of service.  Some players were not happy with this. They felt it was not enough.  They expected more for their troubles.  They wanted more.

        The worst part was the silence. Sony didn't tell anyone what was going on.  Everyone was left in the dark.  It's frustrating to be in the dark.  It's frustrating when you don't know if it will be fixed soon.  There was no estimate for when it would be back up.  It was just a boring long wait.

        There was also a lot of questions. What caused the outage?  How did it happen?  Why didn't they fix it sooner?  Now, they've fixed the problem.  But, they didn't explain what it was.  It's not good enough.  Many people were upset.

        Many people had a lot to say about the outage.  They were upset about the lack of communication.  Some were upset about the lack of compensation.  They were upset about the lack of transparency.  They wanted to know more.  Some were frustrated.  Some were angry.  Many were unhappy.  Many wanted more.  Many wanted answers.

        Some said this is not the first time this has happened.  It's not the first time Sony has had an outage.  They said Sony should have done more.  They should have learned from their mistakes.  They should have communicated better.  They should have given more compensation.  They were right.  They were right to be upset.  They were right to be angry.  This was not good enough.

        In all honesty, downtime happens.  It's part of the deal.  But Sony could have handled it better.  They could have communicated better.  They could have given more compensation.  They could have given more answers.  They could have done more.  They could have done better.  They could have done more to make it right.  They could have done more to make it better.  They could have done more to make it easy.  They could have done more to make sure the next time is better.
