While joking about referees and mocking the Kansas City Chiefs seemed harmless, the situation took a dark turn when he promised to perform a "Covetous Jew" dance after his next touchdown. This dance involved spinning a dreidel, flexing, and rubbing his hands together—a well-known antisemitic stereotype.

Adin Ross' History of Controversy

Adin Ross is no stranger to controversy, often allowing antisemitic comments on his show under the guise of "joking." He has also hosted guests with antisemitic views, such as Nick Fuentes, a white supremacist and Holocaust denier. Ross was permanently banned from Twitch in 2023 for failing to moderate his chat, which included racist and antisemitic remarks.

Unclear Beliefs and Accountability

Ross' religious identity has been inconsistent, identifying as Jewish, Catholic, Muslim, and non-religious at different times. This inconsistency makes it difficult to pin down his beliefs and hold him accountable for his actions. As of now, there has been no statement from the NFL, the Rams, or Nacua.

Potential Consequences and Concerns

At best, Nacua may have been uneducated about Ross and made a stupid mistake on a livestream. At worst, he may be willing to perpetuate stereotypes about the Jewish community. This is particularly concerning given the recent attack at Bondi Beach in Australia during a Hanukkah celebration, which killed 15 people.

There is no excuse for this behavior, and the Rams and the NFL should investigate the incident and demand answers.
