In Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, medical imaging is a cornerstone of healthcare. However, a pressing question remains: How much do nuclear medicine professionals know about radiation safety?

Radiation is a serious concern. Mishandling can lead to severe consequences. Therefore, healthcare workers must be well-versed in safety protocols to protect both themselves and their patients. But do they know enough?

The Study: Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice (KAP)

Researchers examined three key areas:

1. Knowledge – Do workers understand radiation safety fundamentals?
2. Attitude – Do they recognize its importance?
3. Practice – Do they adhere to safety guidelines?
