These leaders can leverage his approval to gain some leverage over other political parties in their own countries. This was no ordinary summit meeting. It was a gathering of those who wanted to break away from the traditional European perspective of politics. This event, which was held in Madrid, was a support rally for the American leader. The far-reight wingers rejoiced at the idea of a new political era. This group included France’s Marine Le Pen of the National Rally, Geert Wilders, a leader from Netherlands. The list also includes the leader of Italy’s League party, Matteo Salvini. They got together to show off their unity. The leaders did not hold back their thoughts on topics like “woke” culture, “gender theory, ” and environmentalism. They agreed with Trump that these topics were "over the top" and did not deserve the current level of attention.

Unsurprisingly, the three European leaders who were present were strongly against the far-right policies of the U. S president. They all agreed that his views could be an answer to their needs. The Trump policies opened a path for them to achieve a wider audience in Europe, but, they were also anxious about the economic fallout. These policies could increase hostilities between the U. S and Europe. This actually caused some European leaders to distance themselves from Trump. It is important to note that, when it comes to the European Union we must be careful. The EU is already facing many problems. The EU is struggling with economic growth and immigration. These two factors are causing a lot of stress on the EU. Brexit is a classic example. This event can either unify the EU or divide it further. This division can either be political or economical.
