Raiders Say Goodbye to GM Tom Telesco and Coach Antonio Pierce

The Las Vegas Raiders have decided to part ways with their general manager, Tom Telesco, just two days after letting go of head coach Antonio Pierce. The team expressed gratitude for Telesco’s contributions but felt it was time for a change. Telesco’s one-season tenure was challenging, with the team ending 4-13. Quarterback issues with Gardner Minshew, Aidan O’Connell, and Desmond Ridder contributed to the poor record. Despite the struggle, owner Mark Davis was expected to keep Telesco. However, the team chose to move on. Telesco’s time in Las Vegas lasted nearly a year, starting from January 23, 2024. Before joining the Raiders, he had worked with the San Diego Chargers for 11 years. Interestingly, the Raiders hired him shortly after he was fired by the Chargers following a loss to the Raiders. Telesco leaves behind a notable achievement with tight end Brock Bowers, who broke the NFL rookie receptions record and was named an All-Pro.
