Raiders Say Goodbye to GM Tom Telesco and Coach Antonio Pierce
Las Vegas, USAFriday, January 10, 2025
The Raiders' GM change might reflect the increasing influence of Tom Brady, who recently became a minority owner. With both a head coach and GM position to fill, the Raiders join the Jets in seeking long-term stability. The franchise has seen numerous changes since 2012, with three general managers and seven coaches. The team has only five . 500 seasons in the last 22 years.
The Raiders have significant tasks ahead, including over $100 million in cap space for free agency and the No. 6 overall draft pick. Brady has even reached out to Bill Belichick, his former Patriots coach, to discuss a coaching reunion in Las Vegas. Belichick, however, is currently committed to UNC. The Raiders plan to interview several candidates, including Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn from the Lions, Steve Spagnuolo from the Chiefs, and Todd Monken from the Ravens, as well as former Jets coach Robert Saleh.
