Rapper Lil Durk Arrested: A Web of Revenge and Violence

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Durk, real name Durk Banks, was recently arrested in Florida on serious federal charges. The 32-year-old is accused of hiring a hit on rapper Quando Rondo, which tragically ended in the death of Rondo's cousin, Saviyah Robinson. Durk's rap collective, "Only the Family" (OTF), is also under scrutiny. Five members were arrested, and more arrests are expected. The FBI says Durk tried to flee the country.

This case goes back to a 2020 nightclub shooting where OTF rapper King Von was killed. Durk allegedly offered money to anyone who killed Rondo in revenge. The murder plot unfolded quickly, with Durk's associates traveling to Los Angeles to carry out the hit. They were provided with funds, guns, and disguises. The shooting happened at a gas station, but Rondo survived. Durk was arrested before he could flee to Europe.
