The survey found that many mental health pros think these activities can be helpful, but it depends on the person and the situation. They suggested that if it brings comfort and doesn't cause harm, then why not? But if it's causing stress or interfering with treatment, then it might be time to chat about it.
One interesting thing was that most professionals said they don't get special training on how to deal with this stuff. They mostly figure it out as they go along. This could be a good area for more research and training, don't you think?
