They've announced a new game called FBC Firebreak, which isn't a sequel or extra content, but a standalone cooperative first-person shooter set in the same universe. Players will step into the shoes of Firebreak, a special unit of the Federal Bureau of Control, to fight against supernatural forces attacking the FBC headquarters. The game is designed to be accessible and filled with exciting co-op missions that showcase Remedy's creative style. Even though it might seem similar to other modern co-op shooters, FBC Firebreak promises a unique experience.
The game was first revealed with a trailer during the Xbox Partner Showcase. This trailer made it clear that FBC Firebreak is not just another addition to Control, but a new adventure on its own. The studio plans to release the game in 2025, making it available on PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. Moreover, it will be part of the Xbox Game Pass from the day it launches.
