Republican Senators React to Schumer's Decision on McCormick's Orientation

This decision comes after Democratic incumbent Bob Casey hasn't yet conceded the race, even though the Associated Press has declared McCormick the winner. Despite the AP's call, Casey believes the final ballots could still change the outcome. Republican Senators are not pleased. Senator Ted Cruz, a strong supporter of former President Donald Trump, criticized Schumer, calling him an "election denier. " Cruz urged Schumer to do the right thing and invite McCormick to the orientation. Senator Marsha Blackburn echoed these sentiments, saying that Pennsylvania voters have spoken and chosen McCormick. She argued that there's no more room for debate.

Senator Chuck Grassley and Senator Eric Schmitt also voiced their disapproval. Grassley stated that it is not Schumer's role to decide who gets elected to the Senate, emphasizing that Pennsylvanians have elected Republican Dave McCormick.
