Rethinking Raman Spectroscopy: A New Way to Clean Up Noisy Data
Tuesday, November 19, 2024
In this study, scientists created a new way to do this using something called Tikhonov regularized least squares (TRLS). This method helps to smooth out the data better than the usual way. They tested it with some fake data and found it worked really well. They also tried it on real data and found it made the data more accurate and useful. So, both the fake and real tests showed that this new method is a big help for cleaning up Raman spectra.
