Saif Ali Khan in Hospital After Home Intruder Attack

Early Thursday morning, Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was injured in a knife attack at his home in Mumbai. It happened around 2:30 a. m. when Khan encountered an intruder. The 54-year-old actor was stabbed multiple times, with one injury close to his spine. Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital where he underwent a lengthy surgery. Doctors say he's now stable.

The case is being investigated by Mumbai’s Crime Branch, who have deployed teams all over the city. They're checking security footage and talking to household staff. The intruder got into Khan’s 11th-floor apartment and had an altercation with the actor. This is not Khan’s first time in the spotlight. He comes from a famous family in Bollywood and has been acting for over three decades. He's known for hits like “Dil Chahta Hai” and “Kal Ho Naa Ho”. The actor's let fans know he's out of danger and recovering. Khan recently returned from a family vacation in Switzerland with his wife, Kareena Kapoor, and their children.
