Samsung is cooking up something new for its upcoming foldable phones. Rumors suggest that the next Galaxy Z Flip models might come with a surprise: Samsung's own Exynos chips. The Galaxy Z Flip FE, expected for 2025, could be powered by the Exynos 2400e, which is also in the Galaxy S24 FE. This chip is a bit like the full Exynos 2400, but with some features stripped down to keep costs low. The high-end Galaxy Z Flip 7 might get the Exynos 2500, a new chip from Samsung. This chip is said to have three power-packed cores, five balanced cores, and two energy-efficient cores, along with a powerful GPU called the Xclipse 950. This would be a big change from the current Galaxy Z Flip 6, which uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Some rumors say the Galaxy Z Flip 7 might use the Exynos 2400 instead, but that's not certain. Samsung has hinted at the Exynos 2500 in an earnings call, but details are still scarce. There are some production issues rumored with the Exynos 2500, which might explain why Samsung is considering it for the foldables instead of its flagship phones. The Galaxy S25 is rumored to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite, so maybe Samsung is saving the Exynos 2500 for its foldables. It's like Samsung is playing a game of musical chairs with its chips! We'll have to wait and see what happens when the next Galaxy flagship phones come out.
