Saving Clickwheel iPod Games: A Community Quest

These games might not have been gaming hits, but they were significant steps in Apple's journey into gaming. The clickwheel iPod gaming era was short-lived, lasting just a few years. Fans have managed to back up these games, known as IPG files, in various archives. However, the strict Fairplay DRM ties these files to specific iTunes accounts and computers used for syncing. Games already synced to iPods years ago still work fine. But syncing them to new iPods or iTunes installations requires finding the original IPG file and the authorized iTunes account that bought the game. This challenge has sparked a community effort to preserve these clickwheel games, ensuring they can be enjoyed for years to come.
