Topeka, Kansas, USAMonday, March 30, 2026
Carsyn Broxterman of Hayden soccer made headlines with five goals in an 8-0 triumph over Cair Paravel. She netted three of those goals within the first nine minutes, setting a high tone for Hayden’s season. Broxterman has committed to play college soccer at Kansas City‑Kansas Community College next year.
Cianna Graves led Shawnee Heights softball with five hits and four RBIs across two games, helping the Thunderbirds secure 6-0 and 8-7 victories over De Soto. Her defensive play behind the plate was also a key factor in those wins.
Harley Stamper, a junior from Topeka High baseball, dominated the early games. He combined for two hits and six RBIs in a 16-3 win over Highland Park, and added another hit and an RBI in a 20-1 victory. Stamper also pitched three innings, allowing only one hit and one earned run.
Past winter winners have highlighted athletes from swimming, basketball, and bowling across the county. These recognitions showcase the breadth of talent in Shawnee County’s high schools.
