Securing Power in Storms: A Mix of Gas and Batteries
Friday, December 27, 2024
To handle unpredictability, math comes into play. Lines could fail, and we might not know exactly how much power people need. The plan uses a method called Monte Carlo simulation to create various scenarios. It also accounts for gas pipelines failing due to weather, treating this as a known issue.
Testing on a small network with 33 power lines and 14 gas pipes showed promising results. It worked better than other methods when compared.
