Securing Trade Deals: UK Minister's New Priorities
London, United KingdomMonday, October 14, 2024
The GCC includes countries like Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Reynolds also said that the UK is interested in trade deals with Israel, South Korea, Switzerland, and Turkey.
Now, Reynolds didn't give a specific time frame for these deals. He said the government's job right now is to build on the work of previous ministers. Negotiations can take time because the easy parts usually get done first.
Reynolds believes these deals are crucial for the UK's economy and diplomatic ties. He thinks it's good for countries to work together, even if they have different political systems.
As for India, trade talks with them are in their 15th round. They might pick up again this month, according to an Indian official.
