SOUTHERN UNITED STATES, USAFriday, December 27, 2024
Evan Bentley, a meteorologist, discussed the severe weather threat looming over east Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama for the weekend. Though details remain uncertain, Bentley warned of numerous storms with risks including hail, strong winds, and potential tornadoes. Given the holiday travel rush, Bentley suggested travelers in the affected areas should stay updated with weather warnings.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) expected to screen nearly 40 million travelers between December 19 and January 2, with December 27 being a peak travel day. Meanwhile, AAA projected over 100 million people would be on the move between December 21 and January 1.
