Simone Biles Shares Hospital Story and Future Plans

Simone Biles, the world‑famous gymnast, recently posted a story on her social media that gave fans an unexpected glimpse into a medical experience. In the post, she displayed a bracelet and several hospital bands on her wrist—one red band and a dressing that likely covered an IV line. While she kept most details private, the image made it clear she felt it was important to share what happened.

“It felt almost dying,” Biles wrote, describing the experience as “one of the scariest moments” in her life.

Biles explained that she was alone during the incident because her husband, football player Jonathan Owens, was in Indiana for practice while she stayed at home in Houston. He could not be there to help her during this stressful time.

The week before the hospital visit, Biles was seen jumping on a trampoline with former teammate Zoe Miller at her Texas home. On Friday she posted from St. Louis, the city where Owens grew up. Now she says she will be resting in bed as she recovers, but has not yet revealed the exact reason for her stay.

She plans to share more details with the public soon and has not decided whether she will return to gymnastics competitions. A comeback in Los Angeles 2028 remains an open possibility.
