Skin Deep: Who's Seeing What?
University of California, Davis, USAWednesday, February 19, 2025
The study used a fancy math method called logistic regression to compare the groups. This method helps figure out if there's a real difference between groups or if it's just a coincidence. The study was done in R, a special program for statistics.
So, what does this all mean? Well, it's a good start. But the study doesn't explain why these differences happen. More research is needed to figure out the reasons behind these findings. Maybe it's about how patients are referred to specialists. Maybe it's about how doctors are trained. Maybe it's something else entirely.
One thing is for sure. Skin conditions can affect anyone, no matter their background. It's important that everyone gets the right care. This study is a step towards understanding how we can make that happen.
