Smart Chemical Sensors: How WO3-BiVO4 Nanoflakes Detect Harmful Ethylenediamine
Wednesday, December 18, 2024
When put to the test, these WO3-BiVO4 nanoflakes showed a really great sensitivity for detecting EDA. They were able to spot EDA in very small amounts, as low as 94. 51 nanomoles. They were also quite stable, could be reused a lot, and were very reliable.
This discovery is really important because now we have a better way to find harmful chemicals in our environment at very low levels. These nanoflakes could be used to make sensors that help us keep our environment clean and safe.
