Smart IoT Networks: A New Way to Manage Devices
Sunday, December 29, 2024
The network is divided into smaller groups based on where the devices are, how much energy they have, and what kind of traffic they handle. Each group gets a priority based on these factors. Then, the best nodes for competition are picked using the QL-HBA algorithm. The goal is to make sure the network uses energy efficiently and reduces delays.
The EEGP-MAC protocol was tested using NS3 simulations. The results showed that it reduced delays by 11%, saved 16% energy, and increased throughput by 10% compared to older protocols like QL-DGMAC. This was true for different network sizes.
