Snow Storm Alert: 14 States Brace for Heavy Snowfall

A big snow storm is heading to 14 states just before Thanksgiving. Some mountain areas might get up to 7 feet of snow! This could make traveling very tough. The National Weather Service (NWS) in different places is warning about this. In California, they say the highest mountains could get 7 feet of snow. In Nevada, the Eastern Sierra slopes might get 6 feet. Strong winds are also expected.

The NWS says travel will be hard, maybe even impossible, because of all the snow. They also warn that the heavy snow might damage roofs. Some areas might have snow-covered roads and chain controls, making driving even more difficult. In Colorado, they expect big travel problems and road closures from Monday to Wednesday. If you have to travel, the NWS says to be careful. Keep some extra stuff in your car like a flashlight, food, and water. Stay inside if you can, and dress warmly if you go out. Delay travel if possible, and drive carefully if you must go.
