Sony and ZEE Entertainment: A Merger That Wasn't Meant to Be

Sony and ZEE Entertainment have officially put an end to their disputes over their failed merger. The two media giants released a joint statement announcing a 'comprehensive non-cash settlement' that resolves all issues resulting from the collapse of the merger earlier this year.

The agreement includes withdrawing all respective claims against each other, effectively closing the chapter on this highly publicized deal. Sony's group company, Bangla Entertainment, was also involved in the arbitration, which took place at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre. Sony's local operations in India, Culver Max, will continue to function as Sony Pictures Sony Pictures Networks India.
