Neon Odyssey is a new Dungeons & Dragons 5e adventure that turns the game into an ’80s‑style space opera.  

The creators come from Avantris Entertainment, known for a popular live‑play show and a previous Kickstarter that raised over $4 million.  

The project is split into three books, more than 1, 400 pages in total.  

One book gives new character rules and a full re‑skin of all core classes, plus a brand‑new class called the Machinist.  

Another book lays out the Stardust Rhapsody setting, complete with monsters and magic items that fit a sci‑fi theme.  

The third book adds optional rules and extra details to round out the experience.

Instead of just adding lasers to a medieval setting, Neon Odyssey changes the look and feel of every class.  

It offers over 40 subclasses, 30 new species, and around 300 alien monsters or vehicles.  

The setting feels more like a nostalgic science‑fiction movie than grim cyberpunk, even though the name “Outrunner” suggests speed and danger.  

A cinematic trailer shows bright neon lights, whimsical creatures, and hints of darker threats lurking in the galaxy.  

Fans of the original show will spot several references that connect this new adventure to earlier stories.  

Overall, Neon Odyssey invites players to explore a colorful universe where synthwave beats meet space‑faring adventures.
