SpaceX to the Rescue

SpaceX's Crew Dragon capsule made its way to the International Space Station (ISS) on Sunday, bringing with it two brave astronauts, Nick Hague and Aleksandr Gorbunov. Their mission was to rescue two stranded astronauts, Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, who had been stuck at the ISS for months. The Crew Dragon had a bit of a bumpy ride, though. After launching from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, the Falcon 9 rocket experienced an issue while breaking away from the capsule. Despite this, the Crew Dragon still managed to reach the ISS safely.

When the Crew Dragon docked at the ISS, Hague and Gorbunov were warmly welcomed by Wilmore, Williams, and the seven other astronauts already on the space station. The two stranded astronauts had been stuck on the ISS since June, after their Boeing Starliner spacecraft malfunctioned. The Starliner's mission was supposed to last only eight days, but things went wrong, and the astronauts had to make an emergency landing. The Crew Dragon is now ready to bring Wilmore and Williams back to Earth in February. This is a major milestone for SpaceX, as it marks the first time the company has been able to use its Crew Dragon spacecraft to rescue astronauts from the ISS.
