But it also made some mistakes, like saying clear skies were cloudy less often and saying cloudy skies were clear more often. They also used their cloud spotting method to help find tiny bits of dust and smoke in the air (aerosols). They found that their method worked about as well as the other method in keeping these results clean. This study shows that we can find clouds in satellite pictures without needing another special cloud-finding satellite.
