Is there an answer to why some people get really sick blood diseases

MDS is a life threatening disease that can affect anyone. It turns into acute myeloid leukemia half the time. People are born with it or get it from dodgy cells that grow and  clone in their blood. There are people with MDS living among us. MDS can make some people sick. MDS can kill the cells in your body and makes you weak. It can make you tired or feel sick.

Doctors need to do more tests to get to the bottom of things. Two things about MDS patients have doctors confused. One of them is called oxidative stress and is super unhealthy for you. It damages cells and stops them from working. Oxidative stress affects the cells in your blood, heart, lungs and other organs.

Talking about blood cells: Let's go back  to MDS. Well the blood cells in MDS patients are different than normal people. Scientists took 50 patients and 50 healthy people and did tests to find out about it.

Did you know the number of red blood cells is below normal in MDS patients. Strange. They don't know why it's like that yet but the scientists found junk levels were up in MDS patients. so there was more damage to the cells. This is important because it proved  the cells were having trouble.

The second thing that scientists found was not good at all. but the same way fight against nasty things in your blood. It was called a levels. MDS patients did not have this one in their cells. Having a low amount of it can wind up to them getting a bad disease.

Scientists found red blood cells levels were low.

What do these answers mean for us Going forward? There‚Äôs loads more for us to dive into. There‚Äôs more to find out about how oxidative stress causes MDS. We want to learn what the actual reason of oxidative stress is, for instance does it affect your sex or age.

It was a bummer to learn that low levels of cells affects us.

Simpler tests, new medicines, and better detection methods are needed.

We may have to face a ton of other health issues. The things that help make you sick are everywhere in your body.
