Syria's Kids: A Decade of War, a Lifetime of Loss

Schools are even used as shelters because so many people have been displaced. It's tough to focus on learning when you're worried about your next meal or where you'll sleep. The war has taken a heavy toll on these kids. Many have lost loved ones or seen their homes destroyed. This trauma makes it hard for them to cope. Experts say around 6. 4 million children need psychological help. But it's not just the war affecting them. Sanctions on Syria make it even harder for aid to reach those who need it most.
