Telegram Wallet Opens New Trading Feature
Telegram users can now trade perpetual futures directly from the chat app, thanks to a partnership with Lighter, a decentralized exchange platform. The integration lets users open long or short positions on over 50 assets, including major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Toncoin, as well as tokenized stocks and commodities.
- Leverage up to 50×
- Custodial wallet: Crypto Wallet handles security and settlement.
“You can jump from a chat conversation straight into the market in seconds,” says Lighter’s CEO, emphasizing the speed and simplicity of the new feature.
Perpetual futures allow traders to speculate on price swings without owning the underlying asset. In 2025, trading volumes for these contracts nearly tripled and now represent about 90 % of all derivatives activity on major exchanges.
Telegram isn’t new to crypto trading. Earlier this year, the app Blum offered similar options with even higher leverage on a smaller asset set. Lighter expands the choice while keeping the experience intuitive for everyday users.
