Temporary Greens Take Over Michigan Golf Course
Ann Arbor, MI, USA,Tuesday, July 28, 2026
Earlier this month, staff noticed a sudden change in the color of the putting surfaces. The greens had turned a lighter brown, and officials think someone may have caused the damage.
They are still hopeful that the greens will recover in the long run.
The course sits across from Michigan Stadium and is considered one of the best public courses in the state. It ranked 13th on Golfweek’s 2026 list of top Michigan public courses.
Opened in 1931, the course was designed by famed architect Alister MacKenzie.
