Tesla's 'Full Self-Driving' Feature Under Scrutiny After Accidents
NEW YORK, USAFriday, October 18, 2024
While Tesla promotes FSD as a safer alternative to human-driven cars, the recent investigations suggest otherwise. The NHTSA previously recalled FSD software due to safety risks and violations of traffic laws. In December, they recalled all Autopilot-equipped Teslas to limit their use after crashes involving the feature.
This isn't the first time Tesla's self-driving features have come under scrutiny. In February, a recall was issued due to FSD's potential to violate traffic laws at intersections. The NHTSA's concerns highlight the need for rigorous testing and regulation of autonomous driving features.
