Texas Influencer's Online Feud Leads to 10-Year Prison Sentence

Ashley Grayson, a 35-year-old influencer from Dallas, was sentenced to 10 years in prison. She tried to hire someone to kill three people, including a business rival and a social media critic. Grayson ran a successful online business and had a large following. In 2022, she asked a friend from Memphis to fly to Dallas to discuss a "business opportunity. " This opportunity turned out to be a murder plot. She offered $20, 000 per hit, targeting her ex, a business rival from Mississippi, and a Texas woman who criticized her online.

The friend and her husband pretended to agree but instead recorded Grayson and turned the evidence over to the police. They even sent Grayson a fake video of police lights to trick her. Grayson was eventually found guilty of murder-for-hire and sentenced to the maximum of 120 months. Her husband was cleared of any involvement. This case highlights how online feuds can spill into real-life danger.
