The iPhone 17 Air: All About the Design?

The upcoming iPhone 17 Air seems to be all about its design, rather than impressive specs. Rumors suggest it will have a 6.65-inch OLED screen with ProMotion display technology, giving a smooth 120Hz refresh rate that can adjust based on what's being shown. This phone might replace the iPhone 17 Plus next year and could be called the 'Air'.

According to leaks, the Air won't have standout specs. It’s expected to have an A19 chip made by TSMC, with 8GB of RAM for Apple Intelligence support. Surprisingly, it might only have a single back camera. Despite this, the Air could be incredibly thin and pricey, starting at $1,299! Apple seems to bet that people will pay extra for the Air's ultra-thin design. To achieve this, they plan to use thinner displays by integrating touch and display driver layers. Taiwan's Novatek is set to start mass production of this tech in 2025, with Apple likely being one of the first customers.
