The Power of Teamwork in Health Data Integration

In Belgium's Limburg region, a collaborative project called medEmotion brought together seven partners from healthcare, academia, and industry. The goal? To create a health data integration platform. This project focused on the development process and stakeholder engagement, aiming to provide practical advice for similar future efforts. One unique aspect of medEmotion was the use of Personas and Demonstrators. Personas represented different roles that stakeholders took, while Demonstrators summarized these personas' requirements for the platform. These tools served two main purposes: defining technical requirements and simplifying communication among all stakeholders. The medEmotion platform was built using components from the Microsoft Azure cloud. The Demonstrators were based on real-world use cases, showcasing the platform's utility.
