The Rake Effect: How Republicans' Voter Suppression Tactics May Backfire
Wednesday, September 11, 2024
Republicans are more concerned with solving made-up problems than addressing very real issues like gun violence and climate change.
The irony is that recent analyses suggest that people who don't vote might actually lean Republican. So, in a twisted way, the SAVE Act could actually benefit the GOP.
But at what cost? The real question is, do we want to make it harder for people to vote just to benefit one political party? The answer is no.
We should be working to make it easier for people to exercise their right to vote, not harder.
We should be addressing the real issues facing our country, not creating fictional problems.
And we should be working towards a more inclusive and equitable society, not one that is divided by partisan politics.
