Imagine a Cabinet meeting where the most powerful person in the room isn't even a Cabinet member. That's what happened during a recent gathering. It was like Musk was the star of the show, and the rest of the Cabinet was just the background. Musk's style is definitely different from the usual Washington crowd. He wore a black wool overcoat, a black "Make America Great Again" hat, and a T-shirt that said "Tech Support. " He even described his job as tech support for the government. But his role goes way beyond fixing computers. Young engineers working for Musk have been digging into sensitive databases, questioning employees, and canceling programs they think are a waste of money.

Most of the Cabinet members were on board with Musk's plans to slim down the government. But some were not happy with his methods. Musk had ordered all federal employees to report their work week or risk getting fired. This caused some tension, as it bypassed the usual chains of command. Musk, however, saw it as a way to weed out any deadwood in the system. Trump made it clear that he fully supports Musk. He even joked about it, asking if anyone was unhappy with Musk. The message was loud and clear: Musk has Trump's full backing, and there's little room for disagreement. The meeting was mostly a show for the cameras. When the press was finally kicked out, the rest of the meeting only lasted about 20 more minutes. Trump used the time to talk about various topics, from Medicare to China. He even brought up Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's upcoming visit. The whole event was a spectacle, a display of the Trump-Musk power dynamic. It was clear that Musk was the one calling the shots, and the rest of the Cabinet was just along for the ride.
