The Shift in Clinical Trials: Are Patients Really at the Center?
Monday, June 16, 2025
There is another issue. Not all patients have the same needs. Some might need more help than others. DCTs should be flexible enough to meet these different needs. But, this is not always the case. Sometimes, the tech is one-size-fits-all. This can leave some patients behind.
So, what can be done? First, listen to patients. Ask them what they need and want. Then, use this info to shape the trial. This might mean using simpler tech or offering more support. It could also mean training staff to be more patient-focused.
Remember, the goal is to put patients first. This means more than just using cool tech. It means making sure the trial is helpful and convenient for the patient. It means meeting their needs and making them feel valued. Only then can we say we are truly putting patients at the center.
