One year ago, on October 7, 2023, a terrible event shook the world. Hamas terrorists attacked, killing 1,200 innocent people, including 46 Americans. It was a brutal day for Jewish people everywhere. This attack has caused deep fear among Jews in Israel, the United States, and around the globe. The history of the Jewish people is long and tough, filled with pogroms, prejudice, and separation. Now, there's another dark moment to remember. The world must never forget what happened on October 7. Vice President Harris expressed her sadness for the Israeli people who lost loved ones in this attack. She hopes they find comfort in remembering the lives of their family members. Everyone should work together to make sure something like this never happens again. Hamas's actions started a war in Gaza. A year later, the destruction is huge – tens of thousands lost their lives. Children are running for safety, while parents struggle to find food, water, and medicine. It's time to stop the suffering with a deal to free hostages and end the fighting. Today, as we remember those who died on October 7, many Jews will pray the Kaddish. This prayer isn't about death but about keeping faith in God. It's hard to stay faithful after so much pain, but we must keep believing in peace, dignity, and security for all.
