The Truth About Trump and Russia: A Closer Look
Helsinki, FinlandMonday, November 4, 2024
The truth is that Russian intelligence, following orders from their leader Vladimir Putin, launched a secret war against U. S. democracy. They hacked and spread lies to help Trump. Trump hired a campaign manager who had ties to Russian intelligence. Putin wants to make Russia a superpower again and sees Trump as a helpful partner. He wants to control former Soviet countries and has been doing this since he gained power. He invaded Ukraine in 2014 and again in 2022. Putin wants to make sure the U. S. doesn't stop him. He backed Trump because Trump causes chaos in the U. S. and opposes U. S. involvement in NATO and Ukraine. Putin also backs right-wing extremists in Europe who oppose support for Ukraine. Some Christian nationalists in the U. S. and Europe support Putin too.
Trump and his team tried to hide his ties to Russia. They said the investigation into Trump and Russia was a hoax. They blamed a report called the Steele dossier, but it wasn't the reason for the investigation. Trump's own attorney general, William Barr, tried to make misleading statements about the investigation. Now, the truth about Trump and Russia is clear. We can see it in the war in Ukraine.
