The World Holds Its Breath: U. S. Elections' Global Impact
USASaturday, November 2, 2024
In Sudan, millions are suffering due to the U. S. 's political distraction. The U. S. isn't playing its usual leadership role in resolving the conflict, which has caused the world's worst humanitarian crisis. The United Arab Emirates is fueling this conflict, and the U. S. has done little to stop it.
Elections often make U. S. administrations avoid big foreign policy changes. They don't want to risk political backlash. This inaction can cost lives and allow instability to grow globally.
Even though the U. S. isn't a hegemon anymore, it still has the power and responsibility to promote peace and help those in need. It's not doing that right now, and that's a problem.
